Channeling Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2015 with eShakti

One of the most beautiful presentations in the Alta Moda Spring 2015 Collections, or for that matter any collection ever, was that of the designers Dolce & Gabbana, in their fantasy version of the fabled Isle of Capri in the 1960’s.  The guests were seated around a rocky outcrop while barefoot models arrived by boat in their one-of-a-kind couture dresses and gowns, bejeweled and beguiling in the late afternoon light of Capri.

I recently collaborated with style house eShakti where I found many dresses, skirts and tops, that brought some of the concepts seen in the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda presentation into a more affordable realm for me.  In fact, eShakti customizes each piece to your measurements ensuring a perfect fit, so your personal item is actually handmade especially for you.  I found large graphic stripes, illustrated dresses and skirts, and full-skirted silhouettes in cottons that harkened back to the visions of the Dolce & Gabbana collection in a way that will be the perfect addition to my  winter vacation wardrobe, and for next spring.

Many of the guests arrived in Capri wearing fuller shaped skirts and dresses that swung below the knee, for a chic update on day wear.  Defined waists , fitted shoulders and knee-grazing hemlines create a fresh shape for resort and spring.  Like these two ladies, I will wear mine with easy sneakers, a wide-brimmed straw hat,  classic handbag and statement sunglasses.  I am so looking forward to winter vacation when I will play with this new and refreshing style in my very own, custom-fit floral dress showing off my waist and skimming over my knees.
