NYFW Street Style: Nina Garcia

Creative Director for Marie Claire US, Nina Garcia, channels 1960’s mod style, wearing graphic black and white pieces that are classic but far from boring, making her stand out in the street style crowds at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.   Midi-length skirts worn with heels is right on trend for both winter and spring.  Find this similar style in imitation leather at H&M. Graphic sweaters are everywhere for fall, in all weights and textures.  This fitted version from Diane Von Furstenberg at Revolve Clothing takes the look from office to cocktails.    Pair this combo with the Maarla Heel by Steve Madden, and the Marc by Marc Jacobs Luna X-Body cross body bag in black leather, both available at Revolve Clothing.   Finish off the look with these fashion-editor-approved Prada 52mm Retro Sunglasses available at Nordstrom.com.

“My Little Paris” charms with all things Parisian

Voilà! I have discovered the most amazing site for all those francophiles and Parisian’s alike, thanks to UK blogger The Sunday Girl.  My Little Paris is engaging and adorable, and brings all the newest and most interesting tips for the lucky sorts who live in Paris and those who are planning to visit.  My Little Paris features fashion, beauty, “small luxuries”, the home, culture, “unusual”, foodie treats, bars and restaurants, and hotels, not just for Paris but for Lyon and Marseille as well in case a little side trip is on the agenda.  Kids are also included and have their own special part of the site called My Little Kids, and for brides there is My Little Wedding. The illustrations evoke the Paris we all imagine and new tips and posts appear every day, in both french and in english.  I have subscribed to their weekly email and will be looking forward to it popping up in my inbox.  Those who live in France and the UK can even subscribe to their monthly gift box which changes each month and in the past has included beauty treats such as mini nail polishes from Essie, illustrated notebooks, playing cards and accessories, all designed to delight and presented in special keepsake boxes. I will be one of the first subscribers should My Little Box become available on this side of the Atlantic!

Thank you The Sunday Girl for turning us on to My Little Paris!
