I recently took my new Cole Haan “Emma” satchel out for brunch  – “walking the bag”,  as my husband so beautifully put it.   Top-handle handbags are right on trend for fall, and this deep orange-red color works as a neutral, working with everything from casual jeans outfits to office attire.  The pebbled leather is sturdy, and there is an optional shoulder strap so you can wear it as a cross-body purse as well.  I am in love with this jolt of happy color and I plan to wear it right through fall.
